This is an 8 foot remote control for your HD Hero. Connects to the back port. Simply put the camera in ONE BUTTON mode and press the remote control button for 3 seconds and the camera turns on and starts recording. Press again to stop recording and turn off camera. Has an LED light that can attach to a dashboard that says when the camera is on. Also has a USB plug for charging/running the camera with remote power. Also comes with a USB to USB extension cable AND a 12V to USB cigarette lighter adapter.

Requires modification to the housing back door. Simply cut around one of the padded adhesive pads on the inside of the door (see pictures).

 

The long hole is about 3/8" wide. Remote will NOT work with the LCD Bacpac or Battery Bacpac.
Does NOT work underwater.
